This is just a guess on my part, but I do believe this photograph was taken in Tarpon Springs, located north of St. Petersburg where the Anclote River and the Gulf of Mexico meet. In the early to mid 1900's, the Springs became known for it's sponge diving industry, especially after the depression drove most of the spongers from Key West. Large numbers of Greek immigrants (see the movie "Beyond the 12 Mile Reef") moved there, keeping the industry alive.

Although this card says "The Catch of Real Sports, not Commercial Fishermen", somehow it doesn't fit. The boat lacks detail that suggests anything but a work platform. The catch itself is of tarpon, which are an inedible gamefish. Perhaps their large scales were destined to become wind chimes or lamp shades
